Description | The Thermal Framework is a spatial layer where quinary sub-catchments for all of South Africa have been classified according to their geomorphological zonation (upland or lowland) to assist users in choosing suitable water temperature models. Upland zone comprises Mountain headwater stream, Mountain stream, Transitional and Upper foothill; and lowland zone comprises Lower foothill and Lowland river.
